Many computational technologies have been developed to simulate and analyze various kinds of mechanics design problems and applications. Well established and verified computational models could benefit the designers and engineers in evaluating and predicting the physical or multidisciplinary behaviors in practices. Systematic refinements of the computational technologies could enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the computational models and allow the methodologies to be more useful in engineering applications. Research developments and results regarding the systematic refinements in computational mechanics are welcome in this mini-symposium.
