The advance in earthquake engineering is relying more and more on nonlinear structural analysis. The nonlinear structural analysis has become an important tool for seismic performance evaluation of structural systems in earthquake-resistant design in engineering practices. Moreover, nonlinear structural analysis has been incorporated into advanced structural experiments such as hybrid simulation that acquires the seismic behavior of structural systems and/or components through experiments and numerical simulation simultaneously. This mini-symposium aims to bring researchers, academics, and practicing engineers together to share their state-of-the-art computational technique experiences and novel applications of the advanced structural analyses in earthquake engineering field. Topics of interest for this mini-symposium include, but are not limited to:
• New computational framework for structural analysis
• Advanced method for nonlinear structural analysis
• High-fidelity simulation of the earthquake-resistant structure
• Structural simulation considering uncertainties
• Model calibration and model updating
• Hybrid simulation
